PE and Sport Grant

The Government is providing additional funding to improve the provision of PE and sport in Primary schools. This funding is jointly provided by the Department for Education, the Department of Health and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, and it has been allocated to primary school head teachers. This funding is ring-fenced and can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools.

As a school we are accountable for how we choose to spend the funding, but it must be used to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sports offered. This means we can develop and add to the activities we already offer, as well as making improvements now that will benefit children joining the school in future years.
