Year 4 celebrated their learning with a Roman day. They dressed in traditional Roman clothes, made bread and learnt about battle formations, including shield walls!

Year 1 visited Sittingbourne Museum and found out lots of interesting historical facts all about toys and the history of Sittingbourne!

In year 2 we celebrated the completion of our topic ‘British Monarchs’ with a Royal Day. The children dressed in their most royal clothes and took part in royal activities including a live teams lesson from English Heritage, with Lady Eleanor direct from Dover Castle, who told us all about life in a mediaeval castle as well as court dancing in the afternoon.

In year 4 after learning all about the Battle of Hastings we made our own swords and following a live teams meeting with English Heritage they re-enacted their own battle on our very own school field!

Year 6 learn all about the impact of World War II on family life in Great Britain and to support this they visit The Old Forge War Time House to step back in time to the Home Front of 1940.
